The QuietStep™ adaptive stepper motor drivers utilize proprietary algorithms to reduce torque ripple and current distortion. To minimize ripple current for various operating conditions, these adaptive devices perform on-the-fly adjustments to the amount of fast decay during a pulse-width modulation (PWM) cycle.
