SAM9X ARM926 Highly Integrated Microprocessors

Microchip Technology SAM9X ARM926 Highly Integrated Microprocessors offer high performance and feature multiple networking and connectivity peripherals. Running at 400 MHz, they deliver a rich set of connectivity peripherals, such as dual Ethernet dual CAN, triple USB ports, and seven UARTS. Additional features include an integrated soft modem, high-speed serial communication, a TFT LCD controller, and LPDDR/DDR2 memory support. A multilayer bus matrix architecture and multiple DMA channels ensure uninterrupted data transfer with minimum processor intervention. SAM9x ARM926™ Core Microcontrollers

Microchip SAM9x ARM926™ Core Microcontrollers are built on the powerful ARM926™ core. Designed to complement the ARM926™ core, these flexible devices deliver a rich combination of peripherals in a highly integrated design. The high bandwidth architecture is based on a multi-layer bus matrix, multiple DMA channels, and an external bus interface to ensure internal and external data flows with minimum processor overhead. Integrated power management techniques preserve the power budget and reduce BOM cost.

32-bit Microprocessors

Microchip Technology 32-bit Microprocessors (MPUs) are a natural extension of the Microcontroller (MCU) portfolio and are ideal for use in applications that have outgrown the capabilities of an MCU, require large external memory, or where the use of a Linux Operating System (OS) is desired. Microchip 32-MPUs are based on the Arm®9 and Arm Cortex®-A5 CPUs. They support multiple memory types, including DDR2, DDR3, LPDDR2, LPDDR3, QSPI, and eMMC Flash. A rich set of peripherals provides solutions amongst user interfaces, including audio playback and touch, local interconnect and networking, OS timers, security, and storage.
