The result is an innovative AC-DC conversion that is efficient, simpler, quicker, and with component count halved, less expensive. In addition to benefits such as optimized current-mode control and comprehensive built-in protection circuits, the STMicroelectronics VIPerPlus family represents the easiest solution to comply with ENERGY STAR and Blue Angel standards, with low total power consumption from the mains when the system is in standby mode.

VIPer38 Peak Power High-Voltage Converters

STMicroelectronics VIPer38 Peak Power High-Voltage Converters smartly integrate an 800V rugged power MOSFET with PWM current-mode control. The power MOSFET allows a very high input V_AC to be applied, just limited from its breakdown voltage. STMicroelectronics VIPer38 is capable of meeting more stringent energy-saving standards with its low consumption and ability to operate in burst mode under light load.
