Splash-Proof Micro USB 2.0 Connectors

TE Connectivity's (TE) Splash-Proof Micro USB 2.0 Connectors are designed to protect consumer products from water and dust by sealing gaps around the opening and inside the connector shell. With dimensions of 8.2mm x 5mm x 3.8mm, these splash-proof connectors are only slightly larger than their non-splash-proof counterparts. The connectors feature splash-proof sealing all around, and waterproof sealing can be applied as well. All holes in the shield are closed by the housing sealing. A sealed phone can be designed using this series, as the rugged molded connector front helps seal the connector against the device shell. TE Splash-Proof Micro USB 2.0 Connectors accept A and B type plugs and support normal USB and USB on the go. Conforming to micro USB 2.0 specifications, these connectors also support high-speed data and power transmission, while the SMD solder bracket provides additional strength from underneath the connector.
