PWRx Wirewound Resistors

Bourns PWRx Wirewound Resistors are surface-mount resistors with a high power density and excellent pulse power characteristics. These power wirewound resistors feature a very high power of up to 10W with high reliability and surge capability. The PWR6927/8030/8937/A247/B053 resistors are used in a wide range of applications where surge voltages or inrush currents are present. These power wirewound resistors provide pulse-withstanding capability due to the very low TCR of ±20 PPM/°C for resistances over 10Ω. The PWR6927/8030/8937/A247/B053 resistors operate at a wide temperature range of -65°C to 175°C and comply with UL 94V-0, RoHS, and SVHC. Typical applications include high-power discharging devices, motor controls, telecommunications, and switching power supplies.                   

PWR221T-50 Power Resistors

Bourns PWR221T-50 Power Resistors are available in a compact TO-220 package with a thick film on ceramic technology that provides low inductance. These power resistors are through-hole, radial leaded resistors with a wide resistance value range from 20mΩ to 130KΩ. The radial leaded resistors are available in 1% and 5% tolerance options. Bourns PWR221T-50 resistors are ideal for current limiting, capacitor discharge, or current measurement circuits in power supplies for telecom and industrial applications.

High-Power Resistors

Bourns High-Power Resistors offer a broad range of PWR-series high-power thick film resistors with standard packages. The high-power resistors are available in surface mounted TO-163 and TO-263 (DPAK and D2PAK) and radial leaded through-hole TO-220 and TO-247 packages. These compact packages are used as a standard and offer space saving to thermal and mounting devices. Features include a high power rating, low inductance, and resistors when the heatsink is mounted. Bourns High-Power Resistors are ideal for test and measurement, power supplies, motor drives, rectifiers, capacitor discharging, snubber circuits, current limiting, and heater.
