TCA9548A 8-Channel I2C Switch

Texas Instruments TCA9548A 8-Channel I2C Switch has eight bidirectional translating switches, which can be controlled through the I2C bus. The SDA/SCL upstream pair fans out to eight downstream channels or pairs. Any individual SDn/SCn channel or a combination of channels can be selected, which is determined by the contents of the programmable control register. These downstream channels can be used to resolve any I2C slave address conflicts. If eight identical digital temperature sensors are needed in the application, one sensor can be connected at each channel: 0–7.
